Appearences by Chris.

Post by Muskieman »

I wondered if anyone out there knows if the gentleman is appearing anywhere, shows etc. I try to get my books signed and have a few that Chris has written or contributed to and would like to get his signature on them.

We try to alert folk of any upcoming events so keep em peeled. He does charge a couple of pounds per book now which goes to the Angling Trust I believe.

I can live with that, it's a good cause. Will be keeping a look out.

What a wonderful gesture to the Trust. The only Group that has any chance of eventually getting large enough to be able to act for us anglers.

It amazes me these days how many people go gathering the signatures and it seems most shows I attend there are people with bag full's of books to be signed. Some I see at every event I attend and each time they have yet another 2 or 3 copies of the same title as I had signed at the previous show yet my signature isn't in them. I often think my mostly unsigned collection might be worth more money one day because the copies of everyone else have someones writing in and mine are clean from graffiti

There could be opportunity in the next week or two to get a brand new book signed by Chris and with your name in the back.

Exciting moves are afoot!

Chris has found the 'Lost Diaries' - from 81/82 ish (they were probably in amongst the washing up).

He always said that he would publish them if he found them and talks are in place to do just that.

I'm pretty sure something should be sorted in the next week or and but it all sounds quite exciting.

I'll keep you posted if I get fed any more loose feed.

So that would be just one year - June 81 to March 82 as Four Seasons and River Diaries covers the years either side of those dates?
