Tandem flies are excellent. Good job Ian.

Re: Haunting the pike using
Great looking fly Ian.
Just a thought, have you ever tried using over sized versions of trout flies for pike? Recently in loch Garve I caught 4 jack pike on normal trout flies; two on a red hackled soldier palmer, one on a blue zulu and one on a bibio, all size 10.
Anyways, I'm just in the middle of tieing some size 2 versions of similar looking designs on streamer hooks. I'll let you know how I get on with them!

They would certainly work Santiago,I mean butcher, crow and silver and Alexandra are fry imitations.Bigger versions for pike? Why not.Santiago wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 4:56 pm Great looking fly Ian.

Re: Haunting the pike using
I've caught quite a few on the streamers I made, even I over did the epoxy heads.
