I grew up fishing the canal I used to have great days there as a child spending all day fishing with half a pint of maggots catching a mixed bag of fish the mainstay were gudgeon there were loads in there then I also cought perch daddy ruffe and the odd roach I think this winter I will go there again ive heard there is nice roach and perch in there now as my mate takes his grand children there
