Nottingham Trent Carp

Ok folks is there anyone out there honest enough to give me a clue where to start on the Trent around Nottingham to catch a Trent carp.I have a burning ambition to do this but have no real idea how and where to start fishing for river carp and people who i have met who say that they have caught them tend to be very evasive as to their whereabouts

Might be better looking further downstream on the tidal, although the sunken barge around the A1 pits is a known area

martins right PN A1 section does do a few fish into the 20's but its pretty hit and miss. Plenty of fish been out of the tidal including a rumour of a few monsters. Have you ever fished the tidal?

no hovis i have never fished the tidal,i would love to have a go but its just knowing where to go.

The carp are pretty spread out and you can find them. I know a few area's on day ticket if you want to PM me I'll pass you the details.

The end peg of the arm is a hotspot Mr Hovis then peg 24 is barbel alley

Are we taking about the A1 section the arm has the big bar runng off it?

No the arm down the tidal, you'll know where I mean

Yep your right or higher up by the bridge is a killer right in the margins. have you been fishing the tidal this year?

No I've not had chance to get down yet this year
