2100 hrs on 30th August, 2012. ITV television channel.

I've just had a phone conversation with the Honourable Yates and, among many other things we discussed, he told me he's recently done his 'Nightwalk' accompanied by a four man film crew, who are using the footage as the main thread for a documentary about Britain at night. Despite the 'crowd' dragging along with him, they were respectfully quiet and managed some acceptable footage along the lines of his book. They were out from 2200hrs through to 0800hrs the next day, much to the consternation of a couple of the younger members of the crew!!

Sounds like it will be worth a look. If any more 'intel' comes my way, I'll keep you posted.

Loooking in the Radio times it seems that CY will only have a very small part in this programme as it follows various prople on a disparate range of events throghout one night.

Sorry if I step on anybody's toes but just got this as part of an email from Keith at River Reads.

Dear All

If you're doing nothing better this Thursday evening at 9 you might switch on the electric comic and turn to ITV1. A documentary, Britain by Night, may be following the path I took in my book, Nightwalk. On the other hand, the Yates-relevant sequence may have ended up on the cutting room floor. It might, however, be a better programme without me, so give it a watch anyway- the producer was a good man.

Enjoy the last days of summer.

Best wishes,

Chris Yates."

It's at 10.35 pm up here, but then the pace of life is much slower so I guess that that explains it.

Same here in Wilmslow, Loop - though in the Radio Times it says 9.00! As I have to be up early tomorrow morning (work, I'm afraid, not angling) I've put it on to record.
