Reels don't have to be expensive.....

Post by Tony1964 »

Fishing with old tackle isn't just about buying the oldest, most expensive bits of kit on the market and trying to replicate the styles and catches of the masters. To me buying old tackle is all about nostalgia; seeing tackle in car boot sales and shouting " I remember those"! I tend to buy rods and reels that I used back in the 70's or even gear that I saw my father use in the 60's; that way the kit that I buy has a connection to me.
Here are a couple of recent purchases costing less than £10 for the pair! Not the sort of thing that some anglers would buy but they brought back some memories and made me smile!
