The Svangsta Factory only had one badge punch applicator, and this only fitted the side cover in one orientation. So, the 508 badge (as the side cover was fitted into the left side of the body, not the right) was applied exactly the same as all the other 500 series badges on their side covers… but all the other side covers fitted into the right side of the body. All the other reels = label right way up, 508’s = label upside down.

Used my 507 for a good few years fishing lures which is what the reel was designed for, handled .35mm Abulon Extra well (18lb bs).
