Avocet length query

Post by Chubman »

I have a b James of london avocet I restored a few years ago, its 11ft 2 inches, all 3 sections are equal, now I've been lucky enough to find another along tith a allcocks match aerial for the princely sum of 10 quid, this one is 11ft 6inches, just needs 3 inters replacing as it's original with no droop, rings perfect,no rust, plus original rod bag,my question is how many variants in lengths were there, plus what's the best near match colour thread to garnet I can source for it

Try a test wrap with fishawk maroon, no sealer just varnish straight over it.
