Re: Mordex mentor
I'm keeping an eye on this.
The mordex Mentor was my first centrepin, which I bought as a schoolboy, with pocket money/ Birthday money/ Christmas money.
It was bought from Sawyers fishing tackle of Doncaster.
(near the Railway station)
I would really have liked a Merlin, but these were out of my price range.
The mentor has helped me catch many fish over the years and is still in occasional use.
Nothing fancy about a Mordex Mentor - But they do the job.
All the best.
Neal.

I have one too. Cracking little reel which just feels "right" to me. Fits the size of my hand somehow and spins perfectly. I modified it by adding a couple of thicknesses of cork strip under the line to give a slightly faster retrieve as I have only abot 50 yards of 4lb mono on it for grayling trotting.
Cheers,
Pete
