Shot Tube Indulgence
As the title says; an Indulgence !
The context is quite some years ago now while wandering around the Tackle Fayre at Redditch I saw what, in my opinion, was a really unusual and rather delightful illustrated bamboo "Shot Tube". I walked around the hall there, purchased yet another rod at a great price and, by the time I returned to the original stall with the exquisite hand made items, someone had already bought it ! Grrrrr .......... So, here we are, many years later, I saw this and thought, ah .... why not ! It won't be to everyone's taste and it is an indulgence but, if the photograph doesn't do it justice, the ink drawing of a Perch from the good Mr Paul Cook is absolutely fabulous. It'll sit in my "travelling light" bag for Summer stalking on the lake ....

That just proves the adage 'great things come in small packages' or something like that. It's lovely....

That's lovely, now I know what to do with those brass reel fittings I have.
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

That is beautiful. Paul's illustrated bamboo shot & float tubes are hard to find these days as he's now using sycamore. He did a series with Chris Yates which are all signed. Very rare things to even see let alone purchase...

Oh, that is a work of art. Why not treat yourself to a small indulgence now and then? It will give you satisfaction and pleasure every time you use it. Worth every penny.

A beautiful piece of angling art, Paul is indeed very talented and I count myself fortunate to being the guardian of some of his works as well....
