Mapperley yesterday.
Not a great picture I'm afraid as I only had my telephone with me but found myself being driven along the dam wall of Mapperley Reservoir yesterday passing the spot of Albert Buckley's amazing battles on his Roach gear.

The middle reflection is the late John Walker (my original gaffer and original owner of Walkers of Trowell). The reflection of someone on the right is one of the Buckley family when they came to collect the fish. It had been on permanent loan for many years.Shaun Harrison wrote:

It probably looks much bigger on the picture than it really is. I'm stood on the widest part looking up towards where the reservoir gets narrow towards the sart of the 'Nature Reserve' bird sanctuary.J.T wrote:Looks nice but I get lost trying to fish such big waters.

Super stuff Sean.....
A water I'd dearly love to fish sometime. I believe it's a case of turning up and getting a ticket on the bank?
It's around three and a half hours from me but I'd love to spend a weekend there sometime.

What lovely pictures Shaun. :thumb:
It's not that far from me, I must fish it sometime this season if it's only a day ticket.

If it is fishable on a day tick basis I sense a TFF outing coming on....
