Re: Milwards Floatrover
Hi ReelMaker, I have just purchased a 10' 8" Floatrover, the extra 8" comes from having the handle extended from 18" to a more comfortable 26"......so the most definitely made a 10 footer. lovely rods, well recomended.

Dear sir,Would you say the 10ft model is a roach rod rather than a bottom rod as the 11ft.ReelmakerRBTraditional wrote:Hi ReelMaker, I have just purchased a 10' 8" Floatrover, the extra 8" comes from having the handle extended from 18" to a more comfortable 26"......so the most definitely made a 10 footer. lovely rods, well recomended.

Absolutely built for roach, but has enough backbone for perch and maybe tench.

My own Milward Floatrover has been made to work hard with chub and tench as well as some Bream. I would agree that it excels as a roach rod, its not an Avon. But friends are right, this is a gem of a light rod, nut brown cane, sweet of action. Hunt another!

I am afraid that I am the guilty buyer and yes, I too expected it to go a fair bit higher. Now I only have to sneak it past my good lady who firmly believes that a fisherman only really needs one rod and one reel.
The coiled line travels from the reel, it brings up at last, the hook goes home, and then begins the test of skill. "BB"

Try suggesting to her that a lady only really needs one pair of shoes. The Old Buffer wrote:I am afraid that I am the guilty buyer and yes, I too expected it to go a fair bit higher.
