Rapidex release centre spring

Post by Kirpan »

Hi, I picked up a Rapidex at the boot sale today, spins nicely, it was only when I got it home that I realised why it was such a bargain, the spring for the release is missing,
just wondered if anyone has any ideas
thanks

I think you can buy those from Gary Mills at Mill tackle relatively cheaply.

A small safety pin with the head removed and clipped to fit does an excellent job.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.
