Spindle shims for fly reels
Anyone know where to source shims for the likes of Youngs and Daiwa Seiko/Olympic fly reels? Looking to refinish a couple with spray paint and lacquer and it would be great to take out a bit of 'play' out of them

Re: Spindle shims for fly reels
the only place I might think and it would be shim sheet would be Boneham and Turner at Mansfield. When I initially worked in Engineering we used their products quite a lot.
Here is their catalogue -

we also used their bushes on mild steel shafts to give a very accurate outside hardened diameter on which we could run Ina needle bearings on - often thought about how this combination may transfer to a centre pin.
