what waistcoat?
Well ive never had a waistcoat for coarse fishing, i have a lightweight one for fly fishing and i remember the john wilson wanderer. The thing is ive just bought one of the superb badges from mark and now need somewhere to put it! ( i can only imagine some possible suggestions ). I really fancy a waistcoat, but are the good old type available? Any help would be great.

The john Wilson one is by far the best. I think you can still get them .

Re: what waistcoat?
I have an Orvis one (don't know the model) which I have had for some time... it fits well and has plenty of pockets.
There are a few things I especially like;
>the shoulder yoke is elasticated this lessen the effects of the load in the jacket (my old one didn't)
>It has a waterproof pocket inside for a phone or wallet so if you do go in the drink it saves the contents
>Inside it there are sections to put things like baiting needles, hook tyers and scissors so they are always to hand.
>It is not too hot to wear even on summers days like yesterday
My only criticism is that it is a tad short, I would prefer it to be a bit longer but other than that it suits me well.

There are 2 types of people in this world.... those that "get" fishing .... and those that don't

Re: what waistcoat?
I wear my fly fishing waistcoat, it's a Shakespeare model and has a built in inflatable lifejacket. I find that for roving fishing I can get everything I need in the pockets.
