ANTICIPATION IS RAMPING UP

Post by The Mog »

The sun is sort of out and the flora and fauna are showing the signs .Now is the time to start the pacing of the floor and chewing of woodwork till it warms up a bit more for the season to start in earnest .Everyday its seems I am out checking the buds on the trees and hedges and awaiting the swallows so I can start .What do you do to while the time away till they move in .

As you say the buds are getting bigger on the shrubs and trees , blue tits ,robins , blackbirds checking out our garden for nesting sites ,looking forward to spring so in the meantime spending my time making floats and with a rod to restore to take up the time .

I know the feeling, it won't be long now before my walk home takes about 30 minutes longer than usual as I start peering into the reservoir to see if the Carp and Tench are moving. It might pay to start a bit earlier this year as the weather has been unusually mild.
