My New favourite floats!
I make many floats myself, but am often drawn to other makers floats in their particular style and commissioned Andrew Field to make these old style floats in Andrews signature style. The thing with Andrew that comes across straight away, is his passion for his craft and it really is more than just the money for him.
I don't know how many hours these took him to make, but I'm sure the hourly rate he ends up charging is less than I'd pay for someone to fix a leaky tap! ( and, no it's absolutely nowhere near £100 per float, like it has been publicised!!!)
The floats are obviously in two traditional Harcork shape and style with Mr Fields signature Indian ink scroll work on the collar of the bodies.
To say I'm pleased with them would be an understatement.
They are works of art, but definitely 'users' on a warm summer evening on the Thames somewhere!

I love the art work on them, very nice indeed.
God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.

At first glance I thought he had the Walton window on each!
Now, that would be a challenge for Andrew.
