The Haunting of Redmire Pool
Well, I think it was a fun read. I might even re-read it at some point. I was thinking of reading it at a local haunted water or if I ever get the chance to visit Redmire...
But I'm not sure if it is worth a £200...

We have one or two that are very convinced but there are others, me included, with an opposing view. Even if I did believe, I wouldn't spend £200 on a book about them - no offence Trilob

Well, I respect all opinions, but I've been around a long time and I've neither seen, heard, experienced, or sensed anything that could be classed as a Ghost. I can only speak for myself, of course and I look forward to further posts on the subject..

I like a good ghost story… particularly a Christmas one…

Re: The Haunting of Redmire Pool
The post I entered about Sid's Weir is about two occasions when I was bailiff on the Upper Witham. Packing up at dusk I twice saw a person that in both cases disappeared without any reason I can think of. I later found out from the local historian that the sightings dated back about a century and though not frequent were well documented. Ghost?

I can think of one unexplainable event which at the time sent a cold shiver up my back and still does….

Not sure about this really, perhaps we’re a bit too willing to condemn that which we don’t understand or have proof of?…
