Delmatic

Post by OhMyGoodness »

I stripped down three Delmatics over a year ago hoping to service them, but I've forgotten the steps of reassembly 😜.
Does anyone have a schematic?
I can't work out how to assemble the folding handle too.
Getting old 😭

From memory, and my memory ain't great :-(

Lubricate the rotor gear and shaft. Add the rotor to the body shell, using the axle and securing the large bearing at the back of the rotor, and the small ones at the rear using the circlip that retains the assembly.

Build the crank and anti-reverse up, put it into the body using any shim washers you found there. Be sure to lubricate the crank end before it goes into the body. Add the small end of the connecting rod to the rotor axle using the pin. Make sure the pin is the right way ion or the side cover won't fit...you can briefly use the side cover to check.

Lubricate the ratchet mechanism and slot for the small end pin and put the side cover on, adding the handle if right hand wind or the end cap and screw if not.

Fit the handle to the bodyside crank if left hand wind.

Assemble the spool onto the rotor.
