Re: The carp
Dr Cane has been a busy boy! Lovely job there BP, but then you wouldn’t expect any different from a true artisan like Wal.

Wow, lovely looking rod! It oozes Walmanship, I have a 550 restored by Wal and its just sublime. I look forward to seeing photos of it in action in the near future, well done indeed!

Re: The carp
Super looking rod, I have had one of these from new purchased with Xmas money in 1966,
it may have been the budget version of the above.
Now very shabby and in need of a complete refurb, maybe even a new top section.
Would be pleased if it looked half as well as this one. Something to do now when the daytime temperatures are often below 50f.
My "The Carp " SP (£8.10s) along with a 500(£3.12.6d) were my first quality rods, but that particular 500 has long left my possession.
Regards Tom.

Lovely rod Mike, well done indeed! You could not have placed it in better hands for its restoration. Wal does a very fine job, a very generous helpful chap who has advised me on numerous occasions.
