Engineer reel
Ah Redditch! There is always one item I can't leave behind (as Fredline well knew!)
Last weekend my weakness for what I call "Engineer reels", one offs built by a clever chap with access to tools and the expertise to use them.
This one features what I'm told is a mechanism similar to an easycast reel but having never seen one I wouldn't know.
Either way following a little light fettling this on now spins smoothly and will get it's chance on the bank in the near future.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Re: Engineer reel
Nice reel. Shame the initials are KW and not RW. Could be worth a fortune!

I've got a engraver
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

One of those fascinating items of tackle that conjure up a thousand questions wondering about it's past .

Re: Engineer reel
I was stood next to you when you picked this up and in an instant a strong hard man who searches for bargains became a weak man who had succumbed to the enticement of an unusual reel. Of course I am not that weak but in truth am probably much weaker.LuckyLuca wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 7:24 pm Ah Redditch! There is always one item I can't leave behind (as Fredline well knew!)
