Improving their repellency is something the Ozzies are quite expert at.Jeremy Croxall wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 8:22 amThat's a good point, perhaps they don't make them waterproof so we "poms" have something to "whinge" about!Dave Burr wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 7:01 pmWhy then would they make a hat that is not waterproof? In the Australian tropics the wet season, called the monsoon season, lasts about six months.Dave Burr wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 11:27 amMaybe next time you should buy a hat from a country where it rains moreJeremy Croxall wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 9:13 am Hi chaps, I have bought a BC leather hat which has a nubuck/suede type finish and wondered about water proofing, is there a spray on water proofer that doesn't smell like pear drops!
Would appreciate any advice or suggestions.....
Many thanks.
The hats are water repellant to an extent, but I just thought I'd try and improve their repellancy.
I do like the idea from John about rubbing a sheep on it, No more rain as it won't be able to get through the canopy of flies
