So is this Ted?
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

Did you ever meet Dave Brown at Simpsons Tizer? He used to do all their repairs and renewals etc. He and his wife live up here in Thetford now...we call him 'Dave the rod' as he still does a lot of work for the local anglers & fishes my club water. A lovely bloke with a great sense of humour.

I’ve never heard anything about Ted as a fisherman - did he actually fish much or is/was his rod building/dealership his main interest?
(I did visit Ted once which was magic; he did show me his own shark rod but it looked unused. If you do visit him, it is worth asking to see it as it is a work of art)
