I have just acquired a Milwards Pike Tackle Tin which contains a Fishing Gazette Float , 3 wire traces, Pike gag and discorger.
However there are two extra slots. What would have been be in the tin when originally sold? Any ideas please?

That is so lovely, the condition is immaculate.
I would think a baiting needle or another disgorger
But treasure it as it is
I have one which is rusty and discolored, it has no separators, it has some pike bits added over the years, pretty rubbish compared to this lovely example
A lovely acquisition!
Might the mystery slots have held a porcupine quill float for catching bait, perhaps, or a spoon lure for when no baits are to be had?

I can't put up links but if you try vintage tackle you will get a picture of a Millard pike tin it's not in as good condition as yours but has it looks like a baiting needle and some other stuff I don't if original spinners snap tackle etc yours is the nicer condition one though a nice find indeed mike
