Chapman's "SP"
Did anyone come up with a final answer to what "SP" means on a Chapman's rod ?
(I know "N" means "New Look")

Simply Perfect perhaps?

Standard Pattern, not customised or deluxe. Can't take the credit for this info, heard it from forum member Greentura...

Re: Chapman's "SP"
The difference between the Amwell Standard and Amwell SP - is the Standard has intermediates whilst the SP has none. The reel fittings also differ.

Re: Chapman's "SP"
I have a Peter Stone Ledgerstrike SP which has no intermediates and without checking I think the reel bands may be black to match the whippings. A nice rod all the same with a fine and sensitive tip.
