wasp grubs
Something I've not tried for years and years, but from memory were rather good...

Re: wasp grubs
Well remembered. I just had to destroy a wasp's nest. I shall go and see if I can get some...

Re: wasp grubs
We had, what i think, was a European wasps nest at the bottom of our garden (much bigger than normal wasps, but not hornets) that the mother in law wanted killed. The size of the grubs from that was extraordinary.Snape wrote:Well remembered. I just had to destroy a wasp's nest. I shall go and see if I can get some...

Re: wasp grubs
You have to know what you are doing when collecting the grubs. A mate of mine in the early eighties got badly stung when digging a wasp nest out of a bankside. We did all warn him but hey ho some folk never learn.
I've often wondered about witchetty grubs when I've seen them on tv. Wish I could get hold of some!!

Yes, Witchety Grubs, I've thought of that before. They would be amazing. Imagine injecting them with air and surface fishing with them!!!! :sun:
