So it`s going to happen realy soon now!
The steel strips for my planningforms are deliverd i have 3 sets of hardwood planningforms.
1 for fine tips and the other 2 for thicker tips.
I wil screw the steel strips on the wood so it does`nt scrape down by planning.
Only thing now needed is a taper for a roach rod, so the question is does anyone have a taper willing to share?
Can do in pm iff preferd.

Re: Planning forms almost done, taper wanted.
That looks like a fairly heavy fly rod taper.
You might be better off with something like a Chapmans Shelford or Amwell http://www.chapmanblanks.co.uk/?page_id=102 (they both look to be the same taper)
I have the taper for a Milwards Float Rover which would be more suitable for roach fishing. Give me a little while and I'll dig it out.

Edit: It`s stated as a Mark IV avon on the hexrod website. But i tought it would be to heavy indeed.

Re: Planning forms almost done, taper wanted.
OK this the taper from a Milwards Float Rover I rebuilt. The tip was missing about 9 inches and had a big set so I made a new section using the original measurements where I could and my own estimates for 0 and 5 stations.
The positions in red are my own estimates where the cane was impossible to measure. At all the other stations I took the three possible measurements and took the average. Hope this makes sense. If not let me know.

I can't help with tapers but I have had this saved to my favourites page for a while and wondered if it would be of any use to you?

It does indeed look like a Mk IV avon. I saw the reference to dt10 and immediately thought of a weight 10 double taper flyline.Nol78 wrote: Edit: It`s stated as a Mark IV avon on the hexrod website. But i tought it would be to heavy indeed.
