Ogden Smiths The Richard walker MK IV Carp Rod.
Would any one have any info on this rod please. The insciption is written in ink on the butt. There is an Ogden Smiths label below with green lettering in a gold oval. The rod is two piece split cane 10 feet long. There is an interesting agate lined butt ring in a cradle fitting. The cork handle is slightly flared but hardly trumpet shaped. There are burgundy whippings on the rings and intermediates. It has its original labelled bag.I havent seen one before and was wondering if anybody here has one. .

I restored one a few years ago, which was just as you described. Lovely rod if I remember rightly it had very dark cane and a lovely crisp action. It is the only one I have ever seen though, so presumably quite rare, and sought after, as with all ogden smith coarse rods.
