I read the title and thought that's a mighty large barbel.
May I ask, which rod?

TBH all I know is the rod is made by A.E. Rudge and Son and it had Barbel 11ft 4 written on it.

I think I would want to view it if spending that sort of money.
I looks to have different colour whippings on the eyes to the intermediates,other Rudge rods I have seen have bright red whippings like the intermediates.
Also the ferrules would suggest a rod dated around the fifties at the latest also was anybody making specialist Barbel rods at this time?
also the butt looks short,could have been 12ft originally.
I don't know if any of this is fact its just an opinion

I do notice that the Brand --- is Chapman of Ware --how come?????
