Where to catch a wild carp.

Post by Hovis »

Now I have been thinking that I have caught many carp over the years some big and some not so big but I can’t ever recall catching a proper wildie. I may well have as I have caught plenty of long lean commons from old waters but I was wondering if anybody knew of any waters near Worksop, Notts that contained any of these wonderful fish. Not looking for anything big but more of a classic carp water that I can spend a few hours on.

As always any help would be greatly appreciated. :Beg:

Jump on the train to Llandrindod wells, with a rod+reel tin of sweetcorn and a landing net and I'll do the rest.

LlynGwyn is the place to come to. I still have the tents up from Fennel and Stu staying. fishing is £7 per day or £30 for a season ticket. I live 15 mins away from there and will be going myself. I can't get enough of them now.

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.

Have a look at Fennel's priory for places closer to you.
