I have a Helical Casting Reel and was wondering if these were actually made by A.E.Rudge or were they made by a contractor such as J.W.Youngs

I'm not sure if this is of help but quite interesting all the same.

Re: A.E.Rudge
It does say in the youngs 1938 catalogue that they were owned by AE rudge but that still leaves us in the dark because it doesn't necessarily mean that they made it.

We're just going to have to search further on the net.d) Helical (owned by A.E.Rudge), as the Helical Nymph.
