new member from Missouri Ozarks
Hello, all!
Just a quick post to introduce myself. I am a 52 year old male who lives in Missouri USA near the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. I mainly fish freshwater panfish, but also bass, white bass, walleye, etc. fishing since I can remember with my father who is an old Navy sailor and Vietnam vet and master angler at 82 years young.
I prefer to use only vintage reels on modern rods, but also own several vintage bamboo rods, as well.
My passion is restoration of old reels. Mainly Swiss, French, and most recently English. I have no previous experience and am self taught, learn as I go. Risky with some reels, but nothing ventured, nothing gained... I have always loved tearing mechanical things apart since childhood. reassembly wasnt always so smooth, though. * "where'd that part go?" lol
Anyways, looks like a great forum and am excited to be a new member and look forward to posting up pictures of my resto's.
Peace!!

Pull up a pew, pour a favourite tipple and enjoy the banter…
