Hello from Dorset
I am 38 years old and have been fishing since I was 10 years old. I enjoy a range of fishing techniques but have been focussing mainly on chub fishing using centrepin and cane rod.
I have been fishing for the last 10 years using traditional centrepin reels and have recently started refurbishing old centrepin reels using traditional machining methods.
I have recently purchased a watchmakers lathe, and small lathe and milling machine so I can build my own centrepin reel.
I have recently been researching traditional materials and methods for making handmade floats as I have a passion for chub fishing my local rivers in Dorset.
Kind Regards

Pull up a pew by the fire, pour a favourite tipple and enjoy the banter…..

Enjoy the forum, there’s a lot to discover.
