Wife handed me a copy on monday, she had it on pre order.
Not started it yet though
Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

John Bailey is a wealth of knowledge and experience. I used to have a book written by him (long since lost) so it might be a good read.

I haven’t picked it up yet so curious as to what in your opinion makes it weird Mark?

Lots of mutual back-slapping, sometimes a bit creepy, and sickly sweet. Some of the method descriptions are below basic. I'm struggling with it.

As I'm in Libraries West (all libraries in the SW of England) it's easy to order a copy though having paid for the reservation I noticed a copy on the new books stand.

In the past year the two outstanding fishing books for me have been Stick Float Wizardry by Jim Baxter et al and the latest John Gierach book, both superb.

I guess it's targeted for the wider audience. I'm suprised how many people like the programme who I know have never angled. I can take or leave the programme myself.

Just finished reading it and enjoyed it,reminded me of my angling learning curve over the last 60 years and the benefits of keeping it simple. Far more enjoyable than watching boring videos posted by knowalls.

There was supposed to be a Bailey/Whitehouse How We Fish Live Roadshow but it's been cancelled.
