Just bought this CD-6 3000. Previously owned by P. Green.

Lovely looking reel :Thumb: A quirky mix of retro and modern styling, I've always thought, but Abu managed to pull it off.

What an incredible reel - I had no idea they made this Korean version, what is the engineering like (I don’t know a great deal but I think the Suveran is the Swedish made worm-drive reel from Heaven)?

Always wanted a pukka Suveran, a 1000/2000 size for small float work and a 3000/4000 for all round and lead/ feeder fishing. There always seemed to be other things that diverted my limited fishing funds elsewhere.

The Swedish Suverans are the pinnacle of reel engineering.

How do these compare?

Indeed, I was led to belive the original was the reel to end all reels (obviously, along with the Black Prince)!

Not having seen a Suveran in the flesh i couldn't compare the two, although this Korean version looks to be well made, only time will tell.

It is almost identical. I was musing about the inner components and engineering because the Swedish version is full of innovative solutions to the usual constraints which the fixed spool throws up.

It looks to be a fine reel :Thumb:
