Im no expert so will leave it to those that are to advise but it doesnt sound loose anyway

Sounds like the spindle is nice and secure. Another thing to try is loosen the two screws which hold plastic hub cap in place, just half a turn each, then give reel a good wind back and forth. Now tighten the screws again. It can just be slightly out of alignment and that sometimes cures an intermittent rubbing noise.
