Not so very different from the ‘telephone’ latch used on a number of Hardy reels such as the Eureka and the Wallis no. 2? How long do patents last?

Currently, patents last 5 years, then renewable each year up to a maximum of 20 years.

I recently had to do a spot of research on the difference between patents, copyrights and intellectual property rights.
