Home made catapult.

Post by Caneforme »

This is my home built bits and pieces catapult.
I wanted some thing that looked traditional but could be used for launching bait a tad further than I could throw the stuff. It also needed to fit inside my creel.
It is not very professional but inexpensive and looks the part.

John :)

This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.

Fantastic job there Caneforme…and with a decent piece of elastic it could make a good “ratter” too… :Thumb:

I like that!
What wood is it? Very nice job.

I have bit of a collection of catapults, mostly old but also a new top o the range one in stainless steel.
I like the old wooden ones though.... its all about the elastic now.
Some interesting stuff on YouTube and some crack shots!!!!
Quite amazing.

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!
