Precision Rods Vanguard X?

Post by Cat »

Evening All,
I've been lucky enough to find a 8' 1" (has it lost an inch) Vanguard that needs a little tlc. I'm assuming it's a pike rod? Would anyone be able to post a photo of the whippings from the male ferrule and winding check + the butt fitting please (not sure if the latter is supposed to have a rubber or not?
Thanks Cat

After the trading name of "Precision Rods" was dropped and the rods were badged "Bernard Sealey & Co.", the 'Vanguard" was dropped in favour of the 8ft., two piece fibre glass "Pikeman."
