What to do with a bamboo didgeridoo

Post by Coral Maestro »

While wandering a car boot sale in the UK recently I came across a bamboo didgeridoo. I thought that would make a nice set of float tubes so bought it for £3.

I cut it into 3 lengths:

Bought some suitable sized tapered corks to act as stoppers:

And turned some wooden fixed plugs for the bases on my lathe:

I finished them off with some whipping and varnish:

What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

Absolutely "Aboriginal"!

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

Those look great, though I won’t mention it to the one person I know who could have played it! She might threaten to turn a Sowerbutts pole into digeridoos! 😉
