Wood Pool BB

Post by Martin James »

I'm halfway through reading Wood Pool by BB, all I can say it’s one of the best book it’s been my pleasure to read in a very long time.

Fabulous book. There are some pictures of Wood Pool on here somewhere.

It has to be one of my all time favourite reads.

Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......

I recently purchased a copy of ' be quiet and go a angling ' by Michael Traherne (BB) later editions are called a fishermans folly being somewhat of a collector of BBs books i had been after an affordable copy of the first edition for years and finally secured a copy from a gentleman in the united states at a price i was willing to pay nice first edition with a dust jacket it is a wonderful read also, anything by BB is worth reading and his scraper board illustrations in his books perfectly complement the text.

Just arrived at the Old Gravel Pits for a week and this thread prompted me to bring my copy. It should be fresh as it is ages since I last read it.
