2 hours work.

Post by Caneforme »

Having picked up my Hardy Hardex No2 MkII for a fantastic price (it's better to be born lucky than rich ;)) I decided to give the brass a much needed clean. To be honest I did not realise the bits I cleaned were suppose to be brass until I looked at photo's of the reel type on line, I thought they were painted.

Any way after two hours, with brasso and a stiff tooth brush (I hope Sue does not notice the bent bristles when she cleans her teeth lol) work they came up a treat. I also stripped it down and gave it a service not that there is much to service.

Here are some before and after photo's...

John :)
This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
