1st fish of the year
Popped down my local river Wey for an hour today for my first fishing trip since before Christmas.
New stretch and new target species today and it went rather well

"Rather well" is an understatement. A great fish, well done.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

What a Corker! A good start to the year ahead, long may it continue.
