Greetings from Hann. Münden Germany

Post by RainerSachs »

Hi
Many thanks that I was accepted as a new member.
I live in Hannoversch Münden, Lower Saxony, Germany. Through our city flow 3 rivers. The Fulda, the Weser and the Werra. So it comes that I am very interested in the old fishing methods in rivers. My favorite fishing rod is my B.James and Son Avon Perfection. I use it together with a Mitchell 300 or an Allcocks Model 8902 Arial Popular.

I have started building floats myself and am very interested in the old floats from Victorian times.

Many greetings and thank you

Rainer

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.

Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
