After entering the Gt Ouse for this barbel I think I may need to buy some waders. How far do we chance it to land a decent fish? Luckily it wasn't that deep at all as it snagged me to a large nearside raft. Someone was with me who went back to their vehicle and got some rope which he put around my shoulders, otherwise I wouldn't of go in that's for sure.

That is a lovely fish and worth getting wet for!

Nice fish Chevin. Take care, the Great Ouse at Barford is 11ft deep off the edge.

Well done that man ,If it was the stretch at Barford,barbel are pretty rare around there,slow and deep in normal conditions.
