Prince of the Gt Ouse
This Gt Ouse barbel didn't evade me last night. I nestled into a tight swim just before dark and fithteen minutes later the cane walloped away. You can never tire from the immense battles that barbel give you, especially on an intimate stretch of river.

Lovely Big Gudgeon Vito.
Nom de Plume Chevin Chaser so much more apt than putting Chub Chaser which has so many woeful misinterpretations.

A superb example, did you weigh it?

Are you getting them on your 500?
I did wonder if it was a 550 but it doesnt have black reel bands or copper over whips...
I've only caught a small barbel on a 500 although I did catch a 12lb carp on it which it seemed to cope with ok.
