Good afternoon Mark. I've just seen this thread. I too would like a couple of bags for my 2 Mark IV Carp rods if at all possible. Am I too late to be included in the order? I too would be happy to pay up front if that helps. Many thanks. Mark

I have already put in the order and am waiting for the manufacturer to come back with sample bags and prices.

I am struggling to get any indication from my friend the rod bag maker as to when he can deliver so if you need bags urgently I suggest you look elsewhere.I will keep you posted.

I'll follow Bob's lead and remain on board, Mark.
The number of bags that have been ordered make it seems a gigantic undertaking! Daunting!

Should anyone want rod bags, there is a company called Midwater Angling who make bespoke rodbags... (Don't know if they do them in fabric or a nylon materiel, )they also make loads of soft luggage... I bought some large reel cases from them and the quality is superb....
Email paul@midwater.co.uk
Or call 01706527306
With your requirements...

Is there any indication, Mark, if anything will come of the bag-making proposal?
I have looked elsewhere and the availability of decent drill/twill bags is about the square root of none.
If your maker can do it, it would be a most welcome benefit for those, here, who have requested them and who will be very grateful.
I have had several good looks at Midwater's product: it is in a dark nylon material which, I have decided, doesn't suit my rods.
Here's hoping,
Mike
