The most precious places in the English landscape are those secretive corners,
where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

Re: Mapperley yesterday.
They used to have limited day tickets just in certain swims.
The season ticket is quite affordable anyway.
Day season is £32 Night season is £42 (just made a phone call to find out).
I'll go and have a walk around again with Carol in the next couple of weeks with a proper camera and see if I can see any notice about day tickets.

Recent visitors to Redmire have been able to read all about Albert Buckley and Mapperley, courtesy of this extract from Kevin Clifford's "The History of Carp Fishing". It was placed on the wall in the toilet shed

Shaun
Did you have that walk with Carol? I'd love to get a TFF group visit pencilled in for the new year, perhaps in the spring??
