Today is 66 years since Dick Walker caught Ravioli. I think a toast is called for tonight chaps.

To Ravioli.

(I still think they should have put her back and kept quiet)

I have never tired of reading Walker's account of catching the 44lb er - which I first read in his book 'No Need To Lie' - inspirational to a then 15 year old and still so to this day.

To the man who for me started it all

Sixty six years.....wow. it must have shook the angling world to its core at the time and still makes my hair stand on end reading about that incredible evening.

I've only just read" No Need to Lie" a great book !!! I loved it...
