Huddersfield Canal

Gentlemen,
Does anyone have any information or ideally photographs , of the Slaithwaite end of the Canal and Newsome ?
My fishing started there in the early 60's and I spent many a happy hour up there including fishing some Mill dams and reservoirs whose names now escape me.An old boy taught me the rudiments of watercraft at the Stretch in Slaithwaite and I still remember how he taught me how to winkle out those lovely Perch.
I remember calling at the Tackle shop in Huddersfield on a Friday evening with my club payment card paying 2 bob a week for that wonderful first solid glass rod.I doubt if I could lift it now.....age harrumph!
